In the Southwest USA, thousands of dogs and cats are euthanized monthly due to lack of space and funding.

At Wild West Pet Rescue and Transport, our mission is to relocate pets from the saturated areas of New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah, to areas where there are more opportunities for adoption. We provide safe, compassionate, and effective rescue and transportation services for animals in need. We strive to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or displaced pets, focusing on those most at risk of euthanasia and in need of medical care. Through collaboration with shelters, volunteers, and local organizations, we aim to reduce the number of homeless animals and advocate for their well-being.

  • Pet overpopulation is a pressing issue driven by several factors. One of the primary reasons is a lack of spaying and neutering, which allows pets to reproduce unchecked. Many owners may not be aware of the importance of these procedures or may face financial barriers in accessing them. Additionally, an increase in irresponsible breeding practices contributes to the problem, as some individuals prioritize profit over the well-being of animals. The cycle is further perpetuated by the abandonment of pets, leading to overcrowded shelters that struggle to find homes for every animal in need.

  • At Wild West Pet Rescue and Transport, we are a 501(c)3 dedicated to helping stray animals find their way to safe and loving homes. Our team actively engages in community outreach efforts, offering assistance to individuals and families who encounter stray animals in need. We have teamed up with The Parker Project to help communities recognize the importance of spaying and neutering to prevent strays and unwanted pets from becoming a larger issue. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these vulnerable animals and work towards a future where every pet has a home.

  • By donating, fostering, or adopting, you become a vital part of our community of animal lovers dedicated to making a difference. Your financial contributions directly impact the lives of countless animals, providing them with medical care, food, shelter, and the chance to find a forever family. Whether you can spare a few weeks to foster a pet, or make a financial donation, every bit counts.

Your support can turn a stray searching for safety into a cherished companion.
